Visit Aurora Bassetlaw

Find help and information, join a workshop or support group, book a beauty therapy – and make coping with cancer easier.

Aurora Bassetlaw is a friendly community space for people affected by cancer and long term health conditions.

Based in the much loved Old Library Building and Museum in Worksop, we offer advice and support services in a safe and welcoming environment. We provide beauty therapies, exercise classes and workshops, and our Tearoom and Charity Shop are enjoyed by many of our visitors.

Community and fundraising events, support groups and social activities regularly take place.

Our wellbeing practitioners offer personalised holistic support and can help you access the services you need, when you need it the most. Please self-refer to speak to a wellbeing practitioner or ask your GP or a health care professional to refer you to us.

The Old Library Building and Museum is temporarily closed whilst extensive refurbishment is carried out – thanks to Heritage Lottery Funding. The building is scheduled to reopen late in 2021.

Whilst the building is closed we continue to operate a temporary Tearoom and Charity Shop from Aurora@Dukeries on Bridge Street, Worksop – open Monday to Friday, 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. Our beauty therapies are temporarily based at Aurora@Sparkles on Kilton Road, Worksop.

We can’t wait to welcome you all back in the Autumn.

  • We welcome friends, family, carers and the general public to visit our centres – and many of the workshops, courses and beauty therapies are available to everyone. Please give us a call and we can advise.
