MenWalkTalk is a registered charity that aims to support men who may be struggling with their mental health as well as helping to reduce social isolation.

In partnership with Bassetlaw Action Centre, Aurora are helping to organise a Mens Walk & Talk walking group where men can come together to provide mutual support with the added benefit of getting out in nature, having some physical exercise, and feeling OK speaking about the things that concern them.

How to get involved

There are currently 2 walks in Retford and one in Worksop. One of the Retford walks is at Idle Valley on the second Saturday of every month which meets in the car park at 10am and the other is at Kings Park on the fourth Saturday of every month and meets in front of the Old Police Station at 10am.

The Worksop walk is at Langold Lakes on the last Saturday of every month and meets at 11am.

All of the walking groups are free to attend. The walk lasts approximately 45 minutes. For more information call 01777 709650 or email [email protected]

Aurora are currently looking for volunteers to be team leaders for our Worksop walk and would love to hear from anyone who would be interested in either leading the walk or taking part. For more information or to register your interest please contact Dawn Short on 01909 470985 or email [email protected]
